Okay, so I’m a few weeks late. But in my opinion, it’s never too late for a fresh - every day, every hour, every minute.
Not one to make New Year’s Resolutions, I came across these questions last year and used them to write an intention letter to myself. Like a vision board in letter form, I referred to it several times throughout the year and was amazed a how what I had written in January had come to fruition throughout the year.
So, grab a notebook, your journal, or some pretty stationary, and get started on your vision letter!
What would you like to have happen in your life this year?
What would you like to do, to accomplish?
What good would you like to attract into your life?
What particular areas of growth would you like to have happen to you?
What blocks, or character defects, would you like to have removed?
What would you like to attain? Little things and big things?
Where would you like to go?
What would you like to have happen in friendship and love?
What would you like to have happen in your family life?
What problems would you like to see solved?
What decisions would you like to make?
What would you like to happen in your career?
What would you like to see happen inside and around you?
(Adapted from The Language of Letting Go: Daily Meditations on Codependency by Melody Beattie)
Once you are finished, put it away and pull it out in a few months. (I put my letter in the back of my journal. Every few months it would fall out, and I would take that as a sign that it was time to read the letter.)
Have fun with it and dream big! Wishing you a year filled with lots of learning and growth. May all your intentions be fulfilled!
